History

To begin, the war was first started because of tension between many nations such as Germany, Great Britain, Europe, Japan, United States, etc. The biggest or most talked about is the bombing of both sides; Japan and the United States. After the United States prohibited some sales to Japan it almost looked liked the perfect opportunity to bomb the United States at Pearl Harbor. Japan continued with the bombing idea as a preventitve action. On December 7, 1941 Japan decided to bomb the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, leaving thousands of Americans dead and wounded. Not only leaving all those casualties but also destroying land and war material. It was the world's first deployed atomic bomb ever dropped. Americans put Japenese-Americans in relocation camps. After this insident Roosevelt gave a speech incouraging Americans to support their country and fight against Japanese for what they had done. Finally, on August 6th 1945 the United States dropped the "little boy" on Hiroshima. Then on August 9th 1945 the " fat man" was dropped on Nagasaki in Japan. Days later on August 15th Japanese surrendered unconditionally.
